With Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview builds being released around once a month, we are nearing the end of 2015 and Windows 10 Mobile, as rumors suggest, should RTM around November/December time.
It doesn’t take much to work it out, but we are pretty much nearing that deadline now, and the builds we’ve gotten most recently, 10549 and 10572 prove to be much better in terms of polishing and performance.
At the time of writing this post, build 10575 hasn’t been released as of yet, but when it does, it’ll fix a problem that’s been in the last few Insider builds, which was the migrating from an old build issue.
To get onto build 10549 and 10572, Insiders were required to roll back to Windows Phone 8.1, and then upgrade via the Insider Fast ring of the Windows Insider app. With these last few builds, we’ve seen huge improvements throughout the whole operating system, including performance and reliability fixes throughout the OS.
In builds 10572 and above, the “Insider Preview” tag has been removed from the OS version in the “About” section of the phone’s Settings app.
With more improvements on the way, surely Microsoft is nearing RTM with Windows 10 Mobile.
The official release via carriers should be around December time and should RTM for carrier and insider testing in November.
